Job summary

Trestle, Inc. is seeking a Colorado Youth Detention Continuum Detention Bed Case Manager in Lakewood, CO. The role oversees detention beds for the 1st Judicial District and combines case management with a hybrid in-office/remote schedule after six months.

You will liaise with courts, plan detentions, and coordinate transportation and services for youth. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least one year in the criminal justice system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Liaison between the Courts and the detention center.
• Managing detention dockets and sending affidavits/prep materials for hearings.
• Arranging transport for detained youth to/from court.
• Write detention reports for hearings.
• Ensure parties are informed of detention and future court dates.
• Attend all detention hearings.
• Record and relay bond information to RMYSC.
• Make referrals for other services and supervision for detained youth.
• Manage progress of court hearings and communicate with MVDC.
• Assist in determining release eligibility based on court orders.
• Arrange transportation for youth to medical appointments or placements.
• Facilitate court orders/evaluations until release from RMYSC or placement.
• Case management for up to 18 detained youth.
• Coordinate with interstate compact for return of youth.
• Set up courtesy hearings for other counties/states.
• Relay bond paperwork to juvenile clerk.
• Enter data on detained youth in TRAILS/spreadsheets.
• Maintain Daily Capacity Roster and communicate with agencies.
• Oversee Emergency Release Process and use of State Emergency Beds.
• Borrow/lend detention beds to other districts.
• Perform other duties to support program goals.
