The GEO Group Australia Pty Ltd. is seeking a Transportation Officer to securely transport detainees and ensure vehicle safety and maintenance. The role requires vigilance, adherence to regulations, and clear documentation.

Responsibilities include pre/during/post-trip inspections, credential validation, proper detainee handling, and timely reporting. The position supports field operations with travel and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid Class B or C CDL with Passenger endorsement within 90 days.
• 80 hours of DOT driver training.
• Preferred Corrections/Law Enforcement/Military certification.
• Clean driving record for past 3 years.
• Must pass DOT drug and alcohol test.
• Ability to work overtime and travel extensively.
• Ability to manage stress and detainee interactions.
• Proficient with computers and reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles before, during, and after trips; file DVIR.
• Verify permits and licenses; report issues to supervisor.
• Ensure safety equipment is present before trips; report issues.
• Complete paperwork accurately; submit per policy.
• Secure detainees during transport and at pickup points.
• Follow all safety laws and department regulations.
• Notify safety and management in case of accidents.
• Deliver vehicles for servicing and pick up when ready.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
