The GEO Group Australia Pty Ltd. seeks a Transport Officer to securely move detainees, ensure vehicle safety, and uphold DOT and safety standards. You will coordinate with management to maintain compliance and oversee day-to-day transport operations.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in law enforcement or prisoner handling, a CDL or active permit, and a clean driving record. The role requires travel, overtime, and ability to work under stress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; must be 21+ years old.
• 3 years of law enforcement/arrest authority or prisoner handling experience.
• Two years of driving experience in a transportation capacity.
• Certification in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military.
• CDL license or permit preferred; must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Transport detainees securely between destinations.
• Ensure vehicles and safety equipment are maintained and ready for trips.
• Review vehicle inspection reports and summarize for management.
• Maintain all permits and licenses for assigned vehicles.
• Track DOT HOS using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
• Support interviewing and screening of applicant Transport Officers.
• Prepare and submit required reports to Transportation management.
• Ensure operations meet PBNDS/FBNDS safety standards during transport.
