Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and strong ability to follow written and verbal orders, with preference for coursework in behavioral sciences or security.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework in behavioral sciences or security preferred.
• Ability to greet the public and follow orders accurately.

Responsibilities

• Oversee detainee activities and ensure custody and safety.
• Coordinate detainee movements, counts, and emergency responses.
• Serve in various posts as required by management.
• Provide security during programs and supervise labor crews.
• Conduct shakedowns for contraband and confiscate items per policy.
• Initiate disciplinary reports and prepare required reports/logs.
• Assist detainees in injuries or trauma and report maintenance needs.
• Participate as needed in emergency response teams.
• Complete facility training and perform shift security duties.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
