Job summary

Morrie’s Auto Group is seeking a detailer to maintain the appearance of vehicles across multiple stores in the Midwest. The role involves exterior washing, interior cleaning, waxing, and minor maintenance tasks to keep vehicles in showroom-ready condition.

Applicants should have basic vehicle maintenance knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass background and drug screening. A clean driving record is preferred.

• Previous detailing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows and wipes down doorjambs.
• Applies wax to auto body and buffs surfaces.
• Vacuum interiors and clean upholstery and carpets.
• Cleans engine and engine compartment.
• Inspects vehicles for visible defects and reports safety issues.
• Maintains showroom and stock vehicles in clean condition.
• Replaces missing or defective small parts.
• Operates tools and equipment safely.
• Reports any safety issues to management.
• Other tasks as assigned.

That’s why we are committed to developing interested employees into management roles, offering industry-leading benefit plan options, and fostering a positive and inclusive culture.Roles & Responsibilities:• Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows and wipes down doorjambs.• Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surface.• Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.• Cleans upholstery, rugs and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators and cleaning devices.• Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot- and stain-resistant chemicals.• Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents.• Applies special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following product manufacturer's recommendations.• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery and poor mechanical operation.• Restores appearance of engine area, rugs and upholstery and painted surfaces.
