Job summary

Nucor Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented CAD drafter for the Mooresville, IN area to create shop drawings and manage detailing projects for rebar and concrete reinforcing products. The role emphasizes accuracy, communication with contractors and engineers, and efficient project pre-planning.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specifications, liaising with multiple stakeholders, and processing changes while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• CAD design or drafting certificate preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Construction knowledge, especially concrete-related experience, is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Create shop drawings and manage projects specific to detailing.
• Develop basic knowledge of rebar and concrete reinforcing products.
• Review and verify drawings, dates, specifications, addenda, and other contractual information.
• Represent Nucor Rebar Fabrication and liaise between contractor, engineer, placer, and detailer.
• Pre-plan all projects for critical path, scope, and schedules.
• Review changes and provide information for change orders.
• Address construction conflicts/disputes with timely, cost-effective resolutions.
• Perform other duties as required by supervision.
