Job summary

Nucor Corporation in Louisville, KY is seeking a detail-oriented Drafter/Detailer to create shop drawings and manage projects related to rebar and concrete reinforcing products. You will work under supervision to ensure accurate fabrication, delivery, installation and invoicing.

Develop basic knowledge of rebar products, liaise with contractors, engineers and detailers, pre-plan projects for critical paths, review drawings and changes, and support cost-effective resolutions while upholding

Qualifications

Detail simple projects with supervision and describe rebar and related products.
Coordinate between departments to ensure accurate fabrication and invoicing.
Uphold safety policies and maintain quality documentation.

Responsibilities

Create shop drawing and manage projects specific to detailing.
Develop basic knowledge of rebar & concrete reinforcing products.
Review and verify drawings, dates, specifications, addenda, and other contractual information.
Represent Nucor Rebar Fabrication and liaise between contractor, engineer, placer, and detailer.
Pre-plan all projects for critical path, scope, and schedules.
Review all changes and provide information for change orders.
Be involved with construction conflicts/disputes and provide timely, cost-effective resolutions.
Perform other duties as required by your supervisor.
