Job summary

Don's Ford of Utica is seeking a detailer to clean and restore vehicles, install protective coverings, and maintain a pristine showroom and service area. You will greet customers and ensure safety standards are followed on site.

The role requires 2+ years of detailing experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Compensation starts around $40,000 plus benefits and a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in auto detailing or related role.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a safe, organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers.
• Clean exterior and interior of vehicles to restore like-new condition.
• Install protective packages (seat covers, mats) and perform prep work.
• Inspect vehicles for defects and report safety concerns.
• Maintain dealership lot and report safety issues to supervisor.

Assist all customers promptly.Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel cover, and floor mats in vehicles arriving for service.Responsible for cleaning of the exterior and interior of the vehicle.Clean engine and engine compartmentsInspect vehicles for noticeable defects and restoring the appearance of engine are, rugs, upholstery and painted surfaces.Responsible for preparation and applications of vehicle protection packages.Must complete all work assignments according to applicable safety measures.Restore appearance of vehicles to new or like-new condition to the best of your ability.Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot when they pay their bill.Review repairs before delivering vehicle to customer to ensure quality of work. Bring any issues with the work performed to the attention of your supervisor.Maintain the parking lot.
