Job summary

CB Partners, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to support core accounting processes and contribute to high-quality financial reporting. This role suits detail-oriented professionals who enjoy numbers, data exploration, and cross-functional collaboration.

You’ll prepare journal entries, assist with month-end close, reconcile accounts, and help with AR/AP, cash applications, and audits while maintaining organized records and contributing to financial initiatives with other teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of accounting or finance experience strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries with accuracy.
• Support month-end and year-end close for timely reporting.
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts; investigate variances.
• Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Perform cash applications and reconcile cash accounts.
• Maintain organized financial records per policy.
• Support audits with documentation and analysis.
• Assist with financial reporting, schedules, and ad-hoc projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on initiatives.
