Job summary

CBT is seeking an entry- to junior-level Accountant to support month-end close, posting journal entries and reconciliations. You will assist with financial reporting and variance analysis, and help with corporate card expense reconciliation, verification of receipts, and proper coding.

You will also cross-train across Accounts Payable and other functions, support sales tax compliance with Avalara, and contribute to process improvements and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 0-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Prophet 21 or Avalara is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in month-end close process with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Assist with corporate credit card expense reconciliation including reviewing submissions, verifying receipts, and coding.
• Cross-train across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting functions.
• Support sales tax compliance activities and Avalara exemption handling.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure timely, accurate financial data.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and audits.
