Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 1+ years of professional painting experience, with knowledge of commercial/construction techniques and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years experience as a professional painter.
• Solid knowledge of commercial/construction painting techniques.
• Construction, restoration or insurance industry experience preferred.
• Conscientious with great attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment.
• Ability to work under time constraints to meet specific obligations.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.
• Make on-site preparations, such as building scaffolding and covering fixtures.
• Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint and taping off where required.
• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material.
• Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.
• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
• Apply varnish and other finishes.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
