Job summary

BELFOR Holdings is seeking a professional painter to perform interior and exterior painting across structures and surfaces in Michigan. This role requires selecting materials, prepping areas, and delivering high-quality finishes with strict attention to detail.

The candidate will read blueprints, prepare sites, mix paints, and apply finishes while adhering to safety standards. Prior painting experience in construction or restoration is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years experience as a professional painter.
• Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.
• Construction, restoration or insurance industry experience preferred.
• Conscientious with great attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine work.
• Make on-site preparations, such as building scaffolding and covering fixtures.
• Prepare walls and surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, removing old paint and taping off areas.
• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material.
• Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.
• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
• Apply varnish and other finishes.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
