Jarrod Smart Construction, Co. is a residential custom home builder and remodeler located in Sioux Falls, SD. We are seeking a Project Managers’ Assistant to handle a variety of administrative tasks to support our project managers.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, a self-starter, and able to work independently and on a team in a fast-paced environment. This role offers room to grow with a mix of office duties and on-site project visits, and requires strong organizational skills, the

Qualifications

• Administrative experience.
• Excellent MS Office Suite knowledge.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to project managers from preconstruction through final completion by managing calendars, setting up meetings, drafting/editing emails, and preparing written communications.
• Manage information flow to help prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Attend client or trade partner meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
• Assist with deliverables to clients, vendors, and team members for meetings and after meetings.
• Track outstanding items and follow up with appropriate team members, subcontractors, vendors, or suppliers.
• Assist with permit, inspection, warranty, and closeout documentation.
• Assist with project management tasks such as gathering bids, preparing estimates for client presentations, and documenting client correspondence.
• Document project selections, issue purchase orders, manage change orders, and communicate with clients and trade partners through Ressio.
• Draft and maintain project schedules with weather delays, on-site progress, and scope-change days.
• Assist with field team assignments and maintaining the master project schedule.
• Plan and conduct monthly safety meetings.
