Job summary

Thomas Electronics seeks an Accounting Associate to support day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, payments, GL support, and reconciliations. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and collaboration within a clerical, full-time team in New York/Clyde area.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of accounting experience, an associate degree or equivalent, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a professional environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent accounting experience considered.
• 2+ years of accounting or related financial experience.
• Experience with AR, GL, and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Attention to detail and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process and record customer payments and AR transactions.
• Post credit card transactions and reconcile activity.
• Maintain customer account records and assist with collections.
• Monitor outstanding AR and follow up on past-due balances.
• Assist with GL entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Review transactions for accuracy and proper coding.
• Assist with AP and other accounting functions as assigned.
• Track and maintain medical benefits and related financial information.
• Assist with monthly reporting and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and other accounts.
