Job summary

Aerotek in Miami, FL is seeking a Detail Inspector to ensure airworthiness through preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections within an FAA-approved MRO environment.

You will inspect, disassemble, and repair engine parts, read OEM manuals, and document findings while maintaining calibration and inventory controls. This onsite role offers shift-based work in a dynamic aviation maintenance setting.

Qualifications

  • Experience inspecting components of CFM or similar engines within an MRO setting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Basic PC knowledge.
  • Proficiency with all hand tools and pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to isolate failures and complete rework of parts and assemblies.
  • Ability to read and understand routers and OEM manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Become thoroughly familiar with inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools, and equipment used within assigned areas.
  • Maintain proficiency in using inspection aids and ensure they are in proper working order with the correct calibration information affixed.
  • Understand current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures established by the manufacturer of the articles being inspected.
  • Ensure all inspections are properly performed, recorded, and that records are executed before final approval for return to service.
  • Perform disassembly and repair of all types of aircraft engine usable parts.
  • Assist with the reconfiguration or reconditioning of equipment.
  • Execute scripted test procedures to isolate failures to sub-assembly and/or component levels.
  • Perform scripted repair procedures to repair and functionally test parts or products.
  • Assist Repair Technicians, Engineers, and Technical Services as required.
  • Maintain constant adherence to inventory control practices and procedures.
  • Interpret OEM manuals and router instructions.

Job Title: Detail Inspector
Job Description

The Detail Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring airworthiness in civil aviation by performing preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections. This position requires adherence to manufacturer instructions, service bulletins, and industry-standard practices approved by the FAA.

Responsibilities

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $52.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
