Aerotek in Miami, FL is seeking a Detail Inspector to ensure airworthiness through thorough inspections of aircraft components, including engines, in a Contract to Hire capacity. The role requires adherence to manufacturer instructions, service bulletins, and FAA-approved practices.

Onsite shifts include 1st, 2nd, and weekend options. Responsibilities include using precise inspection methods, maintaining calibration, recording results, and supporting Repair Technicians and Engineers as needed.

Qualificações

  • Experience inspecting aircraft components, preferably engines (CFM or similar).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in inspections.
  • Basic PC knowledge to document findings and use common software.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and pneumatic tools used in inspection and repair.
  • Ability to isolate failures and perform rework on parts and assemblies.
  • Knowledge of OEM manuals, router instructions, and standard procedures.

  • Record inspections and secure approval before returning parts to service.

  • Run scripted tests to locate failures to sub-assembly levels.
  • Perform scripted repairs and test functionality of parts.
  • Assist Repair Technicians, Engineers, and Technical Services as required.
  • Maintain inventory control practices and documentation.
  • Interpret OEM manuals and router instructions.

Job Description

The Detail Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring airworthiness in civil aviation by performing preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections. This position requires adherence to manufacturer instructions, service bulletins, and industry-standard practices approved by the FAA.

Responsibilities
  • Become thoroughly familiar with inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools, and equipment used within assigned areas.

  • Maintain proficiency in using inspection aids and ensure they are in proper working order with the correct calibration information affixed.

  • Understand current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures established by the manufacturer of the articles being inspected.

  • Ensure all inspections are properly performed, recorded, and that records are executed before final approval for return to service.

  • Perform disassembly and repair of all types of aircraft engine usable parts.

  • Assist with the reconfiguration or reconditioning of equipment.

  • Execute scripted test procedures to isolate failures to sub-assembly and/or component levels.

  • Perform scripted repair procedures to repair and functionally test parts or products.

  • Assist Repair Technicians, Engineers, and Technical Services as required.

  • Maintain constant adherence to inventory control practices and procedures.

  • Interpret OEM manuals and router instructions.

Essential Skills
  • Experience inspecting components of CFM or similar engines within an MRO setting.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Basic PC knowledge.

  • Proficiency with all hand tools and pneumatic tools.

  • Ability to isolate failures and complete rework of parts and assemblies.

  • Ability to perform within company quality standards.

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and repair concepts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Some knowledge of troubleshooting concepts.

  • Ability to learn and perform basic repairs.

  • Ability to read and understand routers and OEM manuals.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $52.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
