Job summary

Gardner--white-Furnitur is seeking a part-time Housekeeping Associate to maintain cleanliness throughout the retail and warehouse areas, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff.

The role involves cleaning floors, restrooms, surfaces, and storage areas, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred but not required, and the position emphasizes reliability and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain retail and warehouse areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and customer seating areas, to uphold cleanliness standards and enhance the overall shopping experience.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors regularly to remove dirt, debris, and spills, paying special attention to high-traffic areas and entryways.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, shelves, fixtures, and displays to remove dust, fingerprints, and smudges, maintaining a tidy and presentable appearance.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms regularly, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and countertops, replenishing supplies as needed to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
• Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins throughout the facility, disposing of waste properly and replacing liners as needed.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and restroom amenities, notifying management of any shortages or maintenance issues.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Other duties/projects as assigned.
