Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking an Accountant to support daily accounting operations, including month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting. The role emphasizes accuracy, analytical thinking, and adherence to GAAP within a deadline-driven environment.

The successful candidate will assist with journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and the preparation of financial statements, while supporting audits and budgeting activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger accounts.
• Maintain and analyze general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling items.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions as needed.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Monitor and maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency within the accounting function.
• Perform special projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned.
