Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Detail Cell Operator for our Canoga Park, CA facility, a union position on the 2nd Shift 9/80 schedule. The role involves operating CNC HAAS machines, heat-treat operations, automated cleaning, and precision inspection to support rocket engines and power systems.

The position requires reading blueprints, setting up machines, and adhering to safety and quality standards. Eligible candidates should have trade school certification or equivalent and at least 3 years of related

Qualifications

• Trade school certification, High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specs for parts manufacture and inspection.
• Set up and operate CNC HAAS machines for production and developmental parts.
• Operate conventional ovens and automated furnaces for heat treatment.
• Grind, deburr, hone, and polish parts as required.
• Operate automated cleaning and dipping equipment for surface treatments.
• Record data and inspection results accurately.
• Inspect parts for precision tolerances and irregular surfaces.
• Maintain PPE and safe working practices.
• Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
