Job summary

L3Harris canoga park facility is seeking a Detail Cell Operator to join our 2nd shift. This union position involves operating CNC HAAS machines, furnaces, cleaning and inspecting parts, and ensuring adherence to blueprints and specifications.

Ideal candidates will have a trade school certification or equivalent and at least 3 years of related experience. The role emphasizes safety, data recording, and the ability to obtain a US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specs, and work instructions to manufacture parts and inspect conformance.
• Set up and operate CNC HAAS machines to manufacture production and developmental parts.
• Set up and operate ovens/furnaces to perform heat treat operations and minimize warpage.
• Grind, deburr, hone, and polish parts per instructions to achieve required finish.
• Record data and inspect using PPE and manufacturing computers.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and specs to plan manufacturing and inspection of parts.
• Set up and operate CNC Haas machines and adjust tool offsets to meet part requirements.
• Operate heat-treat ovens and furnaces per instructions to ensure even heating.
• Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Maintain data and use computer systems for inspection records.
