Job summary

Devon Seafood + Steak in Hershey, PA is seeking a Part-Time Pastry Cook to produce dessert and bakery items from scratch, following recipes and Chef directions with precision. The role emphasizes quality, consistency, and efficiency in daily production and finishing.

You should have at least 1 year of high-volume pastry experience, be 18+, and obtain ServSafe Handler certification. The team supports a refined dining atmosphere with opportunities to lead peers and contribute to a premium dessert

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in high product scratch bakery or upscale/casual restaurant environment, or a related industry.
• Must obtain ServSafe Handler Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Produce dessert and bakery products following recipes and Chef directions consistently and efficiently.
• Monitor daily mise en place quality, practice FIFO, and keep prep levels aligned.
• Work safely with equipment, knives, hot surfaces, and steam.
• Write prep lists, control inventories, and manage par levels while maintaining quality.
• Ensure high food quality and minimize waste and costs through careful ingredient use.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment daily.
• Assist teammates as time allows and demonstrate leadership when appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
