Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a network support technician in Fort Worth, TX. You will perform Move/Add/Change activity for network modifications, set up connections in network closets, and monitor basic systems to ensure operability prior to deployment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of technical experience with Windows, Unix/Linux, or Apple, plus in-person IT support. A background check, drug screen, and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Move/Add/Change activity for network modifications including closet moves.
• Move/add connection in network closet and terminate port connections at the end location.
• Basic network monitoring.
• Set up and ensures operability of systems and hardware prior to field deployment.
• Analyzes failed equipment, performs repairs, and tests components.
• Install, test, maintain, and repair telephones and data drops.

What You'll Do:

• Performs identified Move/Add/Change activity to include all required network modifications.
  • Include moving/adding connection in network closet and terminating port connections at the end location (conference room, desk, office, etc.).
  • Basic network monitoring
  • Sets up and ensures operability of systems and hardware components prior to field deployment.
  • Analyzes failed equipment, performs standard repairs, and tests of components or equipment.
  • Repair and replace data connectors on network cables and data drop
  • Duties include installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing telephones.
  • Perform data termination/ activation in telecommunication closets aka network connect (activation of data drops)
  • Assists with telecommunications equipment and telephone switching equipment related to processing and transmission

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 years of experience in technical experience consisting of operation systems such as Windows, Unix/Linux, or Apple.
• Minimum 1 years of experience in providing technical support in an in-person setting
