Job summary

Vista Global Solutions, LLC (VGS) is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide full-time IT support at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. The role covers desktop/laptop, printer and peripheral support, ticket handling, and knowledge base development to streamline user assistance.

You will work in a tiered environment (Tier I–III) with the DHA work order system, aimed at maintaining operational IT services for federal staff while adhering to ITIL best practices and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Certifications: CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Security+ required. Microsoft Desktop certs (MCSA Win11, MCTS, MCDST) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop support for staff at Fort Sam Houston, handling desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals.
• Triage and resolve Tier I–III tickets via DHA work order system, documenting steps and results.
• Develop and maintain a knowledge base for Help Desk procedures and resolutions.
• Install, configure and maintain MS Server 2016, Windows 11, and standard software packages as needed.
• Assist with inventory control and asset tracking; participate in team meetings and on-call rotations.
