Job summary

Halliburton is seeking an IT Desktop Technician II to configure, install, and repair PC hardware and peripherals under close supervision. The role focuses on imaging and deploying Windows PCs using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot, while enforcing security and license compliance.

The position is a 3-month contract with potential extension or conversion based on performance. Pay is up to $26.74/hour, with typical 8:00 am–5:00 pm shifts, in Texas.

Qualifications

CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience.
2+ years in a PC hardware setup and support role.
Experience imaging, configuring, deploying Windows PCs with Intune and Autopilot.
Advanced troubleshooting skills for PC hardware and connected devices.
Strong verbal and written communication with a customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

Configure, set up, and troubleshoot PC hardware, laptops, and peripherals.
Work with users to define requirements and transfer data when needed.
Serve as an expert helper for desktop support teammates and coordinate with external repair vendors.
Strictly follow company security policies, safety standards, and software licensing guidelines.
Keep an eye on incoming support tickets to ensure timely resolution.
