Position

SAS has an opening for a Desktop Support Technician. The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for maintaining all IT-related equipment. The primary duties include handling helpdesk phone calls and tickets from end users, updating software and hardware for all IT equipment, replacing, testing, and building PC hardware for SAS end users. The ability to work collaboratively and independently with excellent technical knowledge of all operating systems is required. You will work closely with multiple departments within SAS Shoes.

Experience Requirements
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows, iOS, Android, and Linux operating systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues with voice, data, applications, and other Level 1 tier problems.
  • Customer Service experience is required.
  • Proficient in computer hardware.
  • Basic networking knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, and protocols.
  • Ability to create and improve technical documentation.
  • Participate in developing user training programs and recommend changes.
  • Identify and escalate problems requiring escalation.
  • Self-starter with the desire to take initiative.
  • Ability to work collaboratively or independently.
  • Manufacturing systems experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrate outside-the-box thinking.
  • Help Desk experience is a plus.
  • Effective listening and verbal communication skills, maintaining proper phone etiquette.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic.
  • Maintain safety regulations in factory and warehouse areas.
  • CompTIA training is a plus.
  • Point of Sale (POS) experience is a plus.
  • PCI Compliance experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work on-call, after hours, and weekends.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Organize and prioritize daily work with minimal supervision.
Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain and support all computer operations.
  • Problem-solve and troubleshoot computer-related issues.
  • Maintain IoT (Internet of Things) equipment.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Monitor service alerts and perform remediation or escalation.
  • Perform software installations, build, and deploy computer images.
  • Maintain IT security standards.
  • Support server system upgrades as directed.
  • Understand and manage network cabling.
  • Administer Active Directory and file storage.
  • Manage network and email systems.
  • Communicate effectively, maintaining proper phone etiquette.
  • Multi-task efficiently.
  • Travel up to 10% as needed.
  • Perform daily duties as directed.
