Job Title: Desktop Support Technician

Pay: $30-40/hr

Duration: 6 month contract-to-hire

Workplace Type: On-site with some travel

Location: San Antonio, TX 78230

Approximate Start Date: May 18, 2025

Description

A Fortune 500 company and leader in the mining/construction industry is seeking a Senior Level Desktop Support Technician for their technical support services organization. The candidate will serve as the sole Desktop Support specialist at the company's secondary headquarters in San Antonio, TX.

Responsibilities include
  1. Providing technical support in a Windows 10/11 environment.
  2. Supporting executives, setting up conference calls and meetings (experience with Google Meet or Teams required).
  3. Performing new user setups, installations, and configurations of desktops/laptops, printers, mobile devices, etc.
  4. Handling IMAC work, including cabling and connectivity.
  5. Acting as the primary backup to field technicians supporting remote sites within a couple of hours' radius, often outdoors (e.g., quarries, mines, sales yards), supporting various technologies.
Top Skills Required
  • Onsite/hands-on technical support for hardware and software (Windows, Google Suite/Google Meet).
  • Travel to remote locations for technical support, including cabling infrastructure.
  • Excellent customer service, especially at the executive level.

Pay and Benefits
