Job description

*Description*
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician in Madison, WI. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about technology, troubleshooting, and delivering exceptional end-user support. You will play a key role in maintaining and supporting thousands of desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices across the organization.
*Key Responsibilities:*

* Perform hands-on repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, and other PC hardware.
* Deploy and configure new PCs and laptops as part of the organization's hardware refresh cycle.
* Maintain accurate inventory records of IT assets and ensure proper documentation of all hardware movements.
* Decommission and recycle outdated equipment in accordance with company policies and environmental standards.
* Manage and resolve support tickets using the ServiceNow ticketing system, ensuring timely updates and closure.
* Collaborate with the Field Tech Manager to ensure adherence to IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
* Provide excellent customer service and technical support to end-users, both in-person and remotely.
* Assist with basic AV equipment setup and troubleshooting (experience in AV integration is a plus).
*Required Skills & Qualifications:*

* Proven experience in desktop support or a similar IT support role.
* Strong knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft Office 365.
* Familiarity with hardware diagnostics, repair, and replacement.
* Experience with IT asset management tools and practices.
* Proficiency in using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune or other device management platforms.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
*Preferred Qualifications:*

* Experience with AV systems and integration.
* Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar.
*Pay and Benefits*
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $30.00/hr.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
