A healthcare provider in the Medical Center of Houston is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join their team. The organization is currently undergoing a Windows 11 migration and requires additional support. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing an upgrade list (prioritized by urgency), scheduling communications with users, refreshing systems, pushing updates, and replacing devices as needed. They will also provide hands-on desktop support throughout the hospital, and are expected to deliver excellent customer service to various users. Strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently through a queue are essential. Beyond the Windows 11 migration, the technician will collaborate with their lead daily to resolve urgent issues, manage customer expectations, reimage Windows machines (and some Macs), assist with upgrades, and perform break/fix repairs.
