Job summary

Mondrian Alpha, a leading hedge fund, seeks a Desktop Engineer to support the New York office. You will own the end-user tech and VDI environment, delivering hands-on support to traders, PMs, VIPs, and global teams.

You will administer Windows 10/11, optimize Citrix/VMware Horizon VDI, and assist with trading floor hardware. Strong PowerShell scripting will improve efficiency and incident handling on a fast-paced trading floor.

Qualifications

• 2-8 years of end-user support experience in a demanding, high-performance environment.
• Experience supporting traders/portfolio managers is highly desirable.
• Experience with Windows 10/11 enterprise environments and global offices.
• Proficiency with VDI infrastructure and trading floor hardware.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows 10/11 across global offices.
• Manage and optimize VDI infrastructure (Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops / VMware Horizon).
• Support trading floor hardware and Bloomberg terminals and low-latency connectivity.

My client, a market-leading, global, multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund, is seeking a Desktop Engineer to join their New York office.

You will take ownership of the maintenance and support of the firm's global end-user technology and VDI environment, ensuring seamless performance across a fast-paced, high-stakes trading floor. In addition, you will provide hands-on telephone and user-facing support to traders, portfolio managers, VIPs, and global offices worldwide.

Key Responsibilities & Technologies

• Administration and support of Windows 10/11 enterprise environments across global offices
• Management and optimisation of VDI infrastructure (Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops / VMware Horizon)
• Support of trading floor hardware and software, including Bloomberg terminals and low-latency connectivity
