We are seeking an experienced Senior Desktop Support Engineer to provide advanced Level 1/Level 2 technical support in a large enterprise environment. The position will support Windows workstations, applications, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking, endpoint devices, and infrastructure-related issues.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable troubleshooting complex technical issues, working directly with end users, and collaborating with network, server, security, and infrastructure teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support for Windows desktops, laptops, applications, and peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain desktop systems and enterprise applications.
- Manage Active Directory users, groups, permissions, and computer accounts.
- Support Microsoft 365, Exchange, Outlook, Teams, and related applications.
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and network connectivity issues.
- Perform workstation imaging, operating system deployment, PC refreshes, and data migrations.
- Troubleshoot printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other enterprise peripherals.
- Use remote-support tools to diagnose and resolve issues for users at different locations.
- Monitor and manage incidents, service requests, and escalations through ticketing systems.
- Maintain accurate hardware, software, and asset-management records.
- Assist with endpoint security, configuration, patching, and compliance activities.
- Work with network, server, security, and application teams on complex issues and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacement, repairs, and technical support.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge-base articles.
- Support system upgrades, migrations, deployments, and other IT projects.
- Provide occasional onsite support at nearby locations.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of enterprise desktop or end-user computing support.
- 5+ years of Windows workstation administration and troubleshooting.
- 5+ years of Active Directory administration.
- Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi.
- Experience with workstation imaging, deployment, and data migration.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, and network connectivity.
- Experience with enterprise ticketing and IT service-management processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
Preferred Skills
- PowerShell or other scripting experience.
- VMware or virtualization knowledge.
- Microsoft Intune or other MDM/endpoint-management experience.
- SCCM/MECM or similar endpoint-management tools.
- ITIL Foundation knowledge.
- Experience supporting enterprise security and endpoint-management solutions.
