Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an onsite Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on IT support across multiple locations in Columbus, OH. The role emphasizes customer service, independence, and effective problem solving for workstation-related issues.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, contract position. Experience with Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 is required, along with ITIL-based processes.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of desktop support, field services, or technical support experience.
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments.
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Experience supporting printers, peripherals, laptops, and desktops.
• Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Cherwell, or similar.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based service support processes.

Description

Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite IT support. The technician will provide hands-on support for users across multiple locations, troubleshooting hardware, software, peripherals, and workstation-related issues. This role is best suited for an intermediate-level desktop support professional who is comfortable working independently, providing excellent customer service, and supporting users. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of desktop support, field services, or technical support experience.
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments.
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Experience supporting printers, peripherals, laptops, and desktop devices.
• Experience working within a ticketing system such as ServiceNow, Cherwell, or similar.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Familiarity with ITIL-based service support processes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
