Job summary

TEKsystems in Wilmington, NC is seeking a contracts desk-side technician to support end-users onsite with laptop issues and basic troubleshooting. You will maintain and troubleshoot software and peripherals, manage assets, and assist with incident reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and peripherals.
• Setup, configure and add hardware.
• Manage assets and perform move/add/change.
• Ensure follow-up on tickets and outages.
• Diagnose network hardware and performance issues.
• Provide in-person end-user support on site.
• Back up end-user data.
• Assist process improvements and cross-team issue resolution.
• Support Site Leader with processes and escalations.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Description

Technician needed with outstanding customer service to work the tech lounge supporting and troubleshooting laptop issues for end-users

Primary day to day responsibilities

• Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot, software and computer peripherals. Ability to setup, configure and add all hardware.
• Experience with asset management. Install, move, add, and change.
• Assure that all tickets requiring follow up work and/or calls receive appropriate attention.
• Follow established procedures to detect, diagnose, and accurately report outage of critical site applications.
• Assist with diagnoses of network hardware and performance problems.
• Comfortable with face to face interactions as will be required to provide technical support to end users in-person at the customers site
• Back up end user data.
• Assist in developing and documenting improvements to current processes. Assist other coworkers in resolution of end users’ technical issues across the program.
• Assist Site Leader in the execution of established processes and escalations.
• Ability to handle multiple projects

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
