Job summary

System One is seeking a Desktop Support professional for an onsite role in Vienna, VA. This multi-year contract position focuses on delivering end-user hardware and software support and resolving issues quickly to keep business systems running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of relevant experience, hands-on Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 proficiency, and basic networking and security knowledge. Onsite presence and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of relevant Desk/IT support experience.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows 11 endpoints.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, OneDrive, Teams).
• Familiar with Palo Alto GlobalProtect client.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for end users.
• Provide onsite desktop support in Vienna, VA.
• Utilize ServiceNow to log and manage incidents.
• Troubleshoot VPN/GlobalProtect on Windows endpoints.
• Collaborate with IT team to follow SOPs.

Technical Knowledge/Skills:

• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for end users
• Basic networking knowledge (IP, DNS)
• Basic cybersecurity knowledge (MFA, phishing)
• Ticketing system experience (ServiceNow)

Experience:

• 1-5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with troubleshooting Palo Alto Network Global Protect client issues on Windows endpoints
• Experience with troubleshooting issues on Microsoft Windows 11 operating systems
• Experience with Microsoft M365 productivity software (including, but not limited to: Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams)

Nice to haves:

• Financial/Banking industry experience
• CompTIA A+ Certification
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals Certification
• Experience using ConnectWise Remote Support Software
• Experience using CyberArk Workforce Password Management Software
