Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Desktop Support resource for Olive Branch, MS, on a 3-4 month contract, onsite. The role covers PC, printer and RF device support for Global Logistics associates, with training during business hours before night/weekend shifts begin.

Responsibilities include day-to-day ticket handling, basic networking, and collaboration with end users; strong customer service is essential. Night shifts include 11pm-7:30am or 6pm-6am as noted.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting Outlook, Word, Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Basic Networking knowledge to communicate with Network Engineer.
• Experience with Wireless Network Connectivity on RF devices is preferred.
• Strong customer service and ability to follow up with end users at various levels.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PCs, printers and RF devices used by Global Logistics associates.
• Handle day-to-day support calls and user requests; assist on-going projects related to these devices.
• Provide routine device maintenance and follow-up with end users.
• Coordinate with Network Engineer and use ServiceNow for ticketing.

Job description

This position is a 3-4 month contract only.

This is an onsite position in Olive Branch, MS.

Candidate must be open to working night/weekend shift.

Available shifts: Sunday - Thursday, 11:00pm - 7:30am and Friday - Sunday 6:00pm to 6:00am.

Candidate will train during regular business hours before moving to assigned shift.

Candidate must have a cell phone for receiving calls from Desktop lead or Manager regarding high priority tickets.

A TEKsystems client in Olive Branch, MS is seeking a Desktop Support resource to assist in the support of PC’s, Printer’s and RF devices used by Global Logistics associates.

Support can consist of; day to day trouble calls or user requests, supporting on-going projects related to these types of devices and routine device maintenance / upkeep. The potential candidate must be reasonably adept in troubleshooting problems with some or all these types of devices, communicating and follow-up with end users of various levels within the organization, along with providing excellent customer service.

• Microsoft Office

• Supporting Zebra Label Printers
• RF (Radio Frequency) Devices (this candidate needs experience with Wireless Network Connectivity)
• Candidate will be troubleshooting the following: Outlook / Microsoft Office / Word / Excel
• This candidate will need basic Networking skills in order to effectively communicate with the Network Engineer
• ServiceNow Ticketing System

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Olive Branch, MS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
