Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site end-user support at a client site. The role involves troubleshooting, hardware upgrades, deployment, and repair for desktops, notebooks, and printers, with a focus on resolving issues and maintaining service levels.

The position requires physical ability to move equipment and may include after-hours support as needed. Strong knowledge of Windows OS is essential, and candidates should have an A+ certification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating system environment.
• A+ desktop or equivalent skill set is required; additional certifications for various hardware platforms may be required.
• Ability to physically perform general office requirements with a lot of walking and lifting of enterprise equipment.
• Travel including overnight domestic or international trips may be required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Undergraduate degree or some college coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs troubleshooting, parts replacement, systems upgrades, deployment and repair on desktops / notebooks/printers.
• Identifies potential issues that could adversely impact end user experience and takes corrective action.
• Update and resolve tickets in a timely manner to achieve Service Levels.

NTT DATA's Client is seeking a Desktop Suoport Technician to provide onsite support for end users, for tickets and issues at a client site. The technician will have the responsibility to own the issues through resolution. This is an on‑site position and only local applicants will be considered.

Position Overview

• Performs troubleshooting, parts replacement, systems upgrades, deployment and repair on desktops / notebooks/printers.
• Individuals here have a well‑rounded knowledge of the policies and procedures for their work area.
• Their work may require discretion and independent judgment for non‑routine matters. However, the primary focus of work activity is predominately routine.
• They may make policy recommendations to their managers and be an escalation point for less experienced team members.
• May respond to calls after normal business hours per leader instructions.
• Identifies potential issues that could adversely impact end user experience and takes corrective action.
• Update and resolve tickets in a timely manner to achieve Service Levels.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is ($25 to $28/hour). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position is eligible for company benefits that will depend on the nature of the role offered. Company benefits may include medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending or health savings account, life, and AD&D insurance, short‑and long‑term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally required benefits.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $22 to $24/hour. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
