Job summary
Contact Government Services, LLC (CGS) is seeking a Desktop/Workstation Design Engineer to participate in architecture discussions, system reviews, and technology roadmap planning for desktop integration efforts. The role supports Windows image development, large-scale software deployment, and enterprise security updates.
The ideal candidate will lead OS image development, configure MECM/MDT deployments, and contribute to test planning and patch management.
Qualifications
- Experience upgrading desktops from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and upgrading Microsoft and third‑party apps.
- Experience litigating software such as Ipro and Concordance.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of the Desktop OS Images.
- Engineer large-scale software deployments using MECM and MDT.
- Develop tests and deploy software updates to desktops, laptops, tablets and servers.
- Support OS patching infrastructure (BigFix or Windows Update/MECM).
- Analyze and recommend desktop, laptop, tablet and server hardware.
- Perform security tasks including vulnerability scans, patch management and auditing.
