State of Washington’s Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) Division of Information Technology seeks an IT support specialist for Mount Vernon. You’ll provide desk-side and remote support to multiple administrations, install and configure data systems, and train staff.

The role emphasizes applying state and federal information security practices while resolving incidents and supporting LAN, cloud, and print services across facilities, with potential interstate collaboration.

Qualifications

• Four years of IT experience in an enterprise MS O/S environment, with Active Directory and file permissions
• Associate's degree in MIS/IT or related field plus two years' relevant hardware/software experience
• Bachelor's degree in MIS/IT or related field, preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop and remote support for multiple administrations and staff.
• Serve as deskside on-demand technical specialist for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, user assistance and training.
• Apply information security policies and practices in delivering IT support services.
• Deliver Tier 1 and some Tier 2 desktop and customer support for DSHS personnel.
• Diagnose and resolve IT incidents reported via the division ticketing system.
• Consult with customers on requirements and project management for IT solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for automated solutions.
• Collaborate across teams to address moderately complex problems.
