Job summary

Cognizant’s Cloud, Infrastructure, and Security Services Practice in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Deskside Engineer to support traders and front-office users, ensuring high availability of trading apps and data platforms.

You will troubleshoot Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv/Eikon, Reuters, Fidessa, and OMS/EMS, handle incidents in an ITIL framework, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for rapid issue resolution in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Windows/Mac devices support and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Citrix, Microsoft 365; basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS).
• Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• 4-8 years in Trader/Front Office/Financial Services IT support.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support to traders and front-office users ensuring high availability of trading applications, market data platforms, and trading floor infrastructure.
• Support trading and market data platforms such as Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv/Eikon, Reuters, Fidessa, and OMS/EMS applications.
• Troubleshoot issues related to trading applications, market data feeds, desktops, laptops, and multi-monitor workstations.
• Provide onsite and remote support to traders in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Manage incidents and service requests through ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Coordinate with application, network, infrastructure, and vendor teams for issue resolution.
• Perform software installations, upgrades, user access management, and hardware deployments.
• Maintain documentation and follow ITIL-based support processes.
• Experience supporting Bloomberg, Refinitiv/Eikon, Reuters, and trading floor technologies.

What You'll Need To Succeed

• Strong Windows/Mac devices support and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Active Directory Citrix Microsoft 365 and basic networking (TCP/IP DNS).
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow Remedy etc.).
• Strong communication stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• 4-8 years in Trader Support Front Office Support or Financial Services IT Support.
• Experience in supporting Investment Banking Capital Markets Asset Management or Brokerage environments.

Compensation:

We are offering between $63,000- $72,000. Applications will be accepted until Aug 21st, 2026.
