Job summary

Eleven Peppers Studios is seeking a seasoned designer to elevate typography across print and digital platforms. You will collaborate with teammates and senior clients to derive direction, timelines, and aesthetics for compelling graphics productions.

The role emphasizes branding from scratch and producing polished visuals for reports and executive briefs. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience, strong Adobe CC skills, and a keen eye for typography, color, and layout.

Qualifications

• Degree in design, communications, marketing, or related field (4+ years may substitute).
• Minimum of five years of relevant design experience.
• Fluent in Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
• Strong typography, layout, and color sense with innovation.
• Able to adapt design to multiple platforms (print and web).
• Strong communicator able to present concepts to clients and take feedback.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teammates to create print and digital designs that are beautiful, purposeful, and innovative.
• Work with senior-level customers to elicit direction, preferences, and timelines for graphics production.
• Develop brands and style guides from scratch.
• Create polished products that tell stories through reports, assessments, and visuals.
• Design a variety of visual communications products: presentations, brochures, promos, posters, banners, websites, and executive briefs.

As a designer, you ask yourself, “How can I make this better?” You have a masterful knowledge of typography for web and print platforms. Adobe Creative Cloud is your BFF, and memories of making the logo bigger give you migraines. You are a fantastic teammate and an even better employee. Composition is second nature. The Fun Stuff:

• Collaborate withteammates to create print and digital designsthat are beautiful, purposeful,and innovative
• Working with senior-level customers to elicit needed direction, preferences, and timelines for successful graphics production
• Develop brandsand style guides from scratch
• Create powerful, polished products that tell compelling stories through timely reports, insightful assessments, and sleek visuals
• Design various visualcommunicationsproducts, includingpresentations, brochures, promotional materials,posters,banners,websites,executive briefings, etc.

The Necessities:

• You have a degree in design, communications, marketing, or a similar field. (4 more years of experience may be substituted for a degree)
• You have a minimum of five years of relevant experience
• You arefluent in the Adobe Creative Suite tools
• You have a keen sense of typography, layout,and color with a hunger for innovation
• Yourdesign eye is so refined that you can adapt your style to any challenge that is thrown at you
• Your ability to designformultiple platforms, including print and web,is second nature
• You are a strong communicator with the ability to provide and receive constructive criticism, as well as the ability to articulate design concepts directly to clients
• You know how to hitdeadlines andgetthe job done

Work location is on-site in McLean, VA.

The Salary:

Salary range provided during the selection process. Exact pay will be determined based on individual factors that may include years of experience, contract requirements, billable vs. non-billable, position urgency/demand, and location/telework options.
