Job summary

Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. in South Bend, IN is seeking an experienced Designer/CAD Specialist with an Associate's degree in Drafting and Design Technology or a related field.

You will collaborate with project engineers on design activities, support senior CAD specialists with 2D and 3D designs, and prepare engineering drawings for construction. Responsibilities include assisting with quantity take-offs, GIS figure development, and performing project fieldwork and survey activities.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Drafting and Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
• 3D modeling experience is a plus.
• Municipal project experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to learn and strong work ethic.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a degree in Drafting and Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field. Duties include working with civil, environmental, and electrical engineers on design activities, supporting senior CAD specialists with 2D and 3D designs, preparing report figures, and performing project fieldwork and survey activities.
