  • Update drawings to reflect as-built conditions.

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a CAD Designer to join our growing team!

We’re looking for a CAD Technician to join our electrical drafting and design team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build their technical skills, gain hands‑on experience, and grow within a collaborative engineering environment.

This role offers flexibility and a hybrid work environment, providing the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively while maintaining strong connections with the team.

What You'll Do
  • Assist engineers and designers with the preparation and modification of CAD drawings and construction documents.
  • Create plans, layouts, assembly drawings, detail drawings, sketches, and other design documents as directed by engineers.
  • Receive and incorporate basic redline markups and make appropriate revisions to drawings.
  • Revise existing drawings and update drawings to reflect as‑built conditions.
  • Support the development of bidding and construction documents for clients.
  • Apply current industry standards and drafting practices when creating and modifying drawings.
  • Maintain accurate drawing archives, document organization, and revision histories.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations related to drafting and design work.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, designers, and other team members to meet project deadlines.
  • Learn and apply new software, drafting standards, and technical skills as you grow in the role.
  • Follow established procedures and receive guidance and mentorship from experienced team members.
What We're Looking For
  • Associate degree in Drafting and Design, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
