Job summary

Consumer Goods Manufacturer - Confidential in New York, NY is seeking a Sr. Designer to design and create bedding, bath and soft home goods for licensed brands, private label and retailers’ brands.

The role requires 7-10 years of soft home product design experience and strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. You will produce tech packs for overseas factories and collaborate with sales, PD and customers to translate ideas into outstanding products.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of design experience in the Soft Home Goods industry.
• Proven experience designing for brands and major retailer programs.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with deadlines.

Job description

Position is in office 5 days a week in NYC.

We are looking for a dynamic Sr. Designer who designs and creates bedding, bath and soft home goods products for licensed brands, private label and retailers’ brands. The Sr. Designer has 7-10 years of soft home products design experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design bedding, bath, and other soft home products.
• Produce tech packs for overseas factories and follow up with them.
• Collaborate with sales, pd and customers to translate ideas into outstanding products.
• Interpret customer needs, templates, and branding strategies into new styles.
• Experience designing for Brands and private label
• Ability to work well with sales and key accounts and translate ideas and concepts into beautifully designed new products.
• Finalize and release press-ready design files to overseas vendors
• Communicate effectively with overseas offices and factories for all necessary production and development.
• Maintain awareness of current trends in the industry.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 7-10 years of Design experience specifically in the Soft Home Goods industry.
• Proven experience designing for brands and for major retailer programs.
• Strong multi-tasking abilities, can execute technical sketches and create original artwork.
• Very proficient in Adobe Creative Suite products especially Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong organizational skills, incredibly positive and always meets deadlines.
• Ability to communicate collaboratively willing to learn new categories.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet or exceed deadlines.
• Create prints, wovens, embroideries and quilts, a major plus.
