Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Designated Crisis Responder to join the crisis team, responding to psychiatric crises in the community and applying interventions to reduce hospitalizations while linking clients to ongoing mental health supports.

The role requires a Master's in a behavioral health field and WA state credentials; you will coordinate with law enforcement, courts, and other agencies to divert from inpatient care and ensure safety.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology or related behavioral health field.
• HB 1724 credential requirements for WA state mental health professionals.
• LSWAIC/LICSW preferred credentials.
• Valid Washington State driver's license and driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provides crisis intervention services to individuals in their homes or community settings.
• Develops and communicates treatment and safety plans to resolve crises.
• Acts as liaison between mobile outreach and Behavioral Health Organization (BHO).
• Develops relationships with community resources to divert individuals from inpatient care.
• Collaborates with State agencies and other social services.
• Provides testimony and advocacy with courts and other agencies as needed.

Education

Master's degree in Social Work/Counseling/Marriage and Family Therapy/Psychology

Washington State Mental Health Professional credentials (HB 1724)

SW Assoc Independent Clinical Lic (LSWAIC) or LICSW preferred

Valid Washington State driver's license
