Job summary

SanMar-Internal in Issaquah, WA, is seeking a Design Technologist to bridge design, technology and innovation. You will optimize Adobe Creative Cloud usage, explore AI-enabled workflows, and build reusable templates and systems for the apparel design team.

The role includes training designers, developing SOPs, collaborating with design operations, and piloting new tools. You will help translate technical sketches into compelling visuals while staying current with tools like Vizcom, Midjourney,

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years in design tech, production design, design operations, or related roles.
• Proficient with Illustrator and InDesign; data merge and template systems.
• Experience applying AI tools in fashion or creative workflows; show work samples.

Responsibilities

• Build templates, automations, and assets in Illustrator and InDesign.
• Train designers and merchandisers on Adobe best practices.
• Experiment with AI to render 3D or photoreal visuals.
• Develop SOPs and file/folder management standards.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and propose designer-friendly solutions.
• Support design and merchandising teams with tool delivery.
