Job summary

SanMar Corp. is seeking an Associate Technical Designer to manage garment fit, specifications, and production-ready tech packs. You will translate design visions into production with minimal supervision and support cross-functional teams worldwide.

The role requires strong pattern and construction knowledge and proficiency with Illustrator, Excel, and pattern tools. Hybrid work from Issaquah, WA is available with standard office hours and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in design or merchandising.
• 1+ year of experience in Technical Design in apparel.
• Knowledge of garment construction and pattern-making.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Excel.
• Understanding of the design-to-production process.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fit specs and ensure consistency across product lines.
• Measure proto samples and audit prototypes for accuracy.
• Create and update tech packs and construction drawings.
• Coordinate fit sessions with models and cross-functional teams.
• Communicate technical specs and due dates to suppliers and teams.
• Collaborate with Design, Development, and Merchandising to meet deadlines.
