Job summary

HCSS is seeking a Design Systems Architect to bridge design assets with front-end code, scale a unified component library, and govern system parity across the product ecosystem. You will drive token mapping, enable cross-functional teams, and evolve design infrastructure using AI-assisted tooling.

The role emphasizes collaboration with development, architecture of living design systems, and proactive usability research to improve internal DX and external UX across Sugar Land and remote teams.

Qualifications

• Bridging design assets and front-end code with a proven track record.
• Experience with design-to-code automation and parity reviews.
• Act as a technical partner to development, guiding UI implementation.

Responsibilities

• Architect, scale, and govern design systems for 1:1 parity with code.
• Build systems enabling UX, product, and development to make design decisions.
• Own and evolve the visual component library with architectural parity.
• Review/approve UI requests to prevent system bloat and maintain standards.
• Document and maintain design tokens mapping to code variables.
