Job summary

Genius AI, headquartered in NYC, is seeking a Senior Design Systems Designer to own and evolve our design system as the product scales. The role demands ownership, minimal oversight, and collaboration with engineering to streamline handoffs across mobile and web.

You will drive tokens, libraries, accessibility, and documentation, shaping the system as we undergo a major rebrand and AI-enabled workflows. You will work in a hybrid setup with 2 days in the NYC office weekly.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of product design with focus on design systems.
• Portfolio shows strong UI craft and end-to-end product thinking.
• Proven track record owning and scaling a design system.
• Expert-level Figma skills, components, variables, libraries.
• Deep systems thinker; designs for scale from day one.
• Strong cross-functional collaborator with engineers, PMs, and designers.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision and execution of the design system and its adoption.
• Architect and maintain a robust component library for mobile and web.
• Lead design tokens, Figma libraries, variables, and naming conventions.
• Drive design-to-dev handoff with engineering to reduce friction.
• Champion accessibility, quality, and craft standards across components.
• Own documentation and governance to enable broad contribution.
• Influence roadmap and prioritization for the design systems team.
