Job summary

Underdog is seeking a Design System Product Designer to define, own, and scale the design system that powers the customer experience. You will set the vision and roadmap while partnering with engineering to ensure adoption and high-quality implementation.

You will lead the creation of components, tokens, and accessibility standards, and develop workflows that improve collaboration between designers and developers. A strong portfolio demonstrating scalable design patterns is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in product design.
• Deep expertise in Figma, including component libraries, tokens, variants, and systematic file organization.
• Commitment to AI-driven UI/UX evolution.
• Ability to adopt and experiment with AI tools in the design workflow.
• Strong communication and documentation skills to articulate system rationale.
• Experience in fast-paced environments with high craft expectations.
• A portfolio showing scalable design patterns and cohesive experiences.

Responsibilities

• Creating, maintaining, and scaling design system components, tokens, and accessibility standards.
• Defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the design system.
• Partnering with engineering to ensure adoption and quality of implementation.
• Developing workflows to improve designer-developer collaboration (Figma libraries, docs, quality checks).
• Shaping internal guidelines for design docs and cross-team collaboration.
• Raising the bar for design craft across the organization.
