Grand Home Furnishings in Roanoke is hiring a Design/Sales Consultant to join our showroom team. You will greet customers, advise on style and budgets, explain financing, warranties, and promotions, and process orders with accuracy.

You’ll also assist with deliveries and follow-up service to ensure satisfaction, while maintaining a well-displayed showroom. The ideal candidate has strong communication, a customer-service mindset, and flexibility for evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills and a welcoming presence.
• Customer service or retail experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible for a rotating retail schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally.
• Consult on style, needs, and budget — guiding customers through the showroom and explaining features, financing options, warranties, and promotions.
• Process sales orders accurately, coordinate special orders with vendors, and schedule deliveries.
• Follow up after delivery to ensure satisfaction and assist with service orders if needed.
• Send handwritten thank-you notes to customers after their purchase.
• Maintain showroom sections daily so merchandise stays clean, tagged, and well-displayed.
• Occasionally assist with tent sales or help load merchandise for customer pickups.
