Job summary

Grand Home Furnishings is seeking a Design/Sales Consultant to welcome customers, advise on style and budget, and guide showroom experiences with a focus on service and sales excellence.

New hires start at $18.00 per hour during a structured training program of up to 4 months, with opportunity to move to commission. Average earnings range from $50,000–$75,000+ with top performers at $90,000+ and uncapped potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, welcoming presence.
• Customer service, hospitality, or retail experience preferred but not required.
• Flexibility for a rotating retail schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional lifting, carrying, or pushing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally.
• Consult on style, needs, and budget — guiding customers through the showroom and explaining features, financing options, warranties, and promotions.
• Process sales orders accurately, coordinate special orders with vendors, and schedule deliveries.
• Follow up after delivery to ensure satisfaction and assist with service orders if needed.
• Send handwritten thank-you notes to customers after purchase.
• Maintain assigned showroom section daily so merchandise stays clean, tagged, and well-displayed.
• Occasionally assist with tent sales or help load merchandise for customer pickups.

What You'll Do
